After reading Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Monfort's "The Secret of the Rosary" and "The Secret of Mary",I bought this classic that people have been talking about for centuries "True Devotion To Mary".This book contains the ways we can develop the best possible relationship with the Blessed Virgin. Added to that, we also get the best picture on the principle "to Jesus through Mary" by learning how to love, have veneration and have complete devotion to the Blessed Mother. Added to that, we also get to realize on why the Blessed Virgin can provide us the best way to get to Jesus in more ways than one which is the fact that she spent more than 30 years with Jesus as compared to the apostles who only spent 3 years with him during his public ministry. No wonder it was hidden for more than 100 years. Forming the best possible relationship with the Virgin Mary is also the best possible way to resist temptation and to eliminate the influence of Satan in our life.
Try to read it more than once and apply the principles involved.It would surely help one's spiritual life especially for a person to become closest to the Lord Almighty God.

I found this book while ordering Immaculee Illebigaza's newest book, The Rosary. And I have been reading all the books I can to learn more about Mary. This book is very deep and reveals atributes about Mary that I have never known or heard before. I wish I would have read it years ago. It would have helped me on my spiritual journey. Saint Louis de Montfort was truly blessed during his life and he loved preaching and teaching the Rosary.
A book you should read
This is not a review on the content of the book but rather its production. It appears that this is a counterfeit copy. The pages appear as badly photocopied and enlarged photos of a previous edition of the book. I would recommend buying the book, but not from here.
This is, in my opinion, the greatest single book ever written on the Blessed Virgin. It is, in reality, like a compendium of all that the Holy Catholic Church had taught on devotion to the Blessed Virgin up to that moment, although nothing has really been added since then. In 215 pages it explains everything you need to know about TRUE devotion to the Blessed Virgin - it even explains false devotions, such as hypocritical devotees etc - and the crucial importance, by the will of God, of Mary in salvation history. You can clearly get the impression when reading this magnificent book that the author was not really the one who physically wrote down the words, St Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort, but in reality the Holy Ghost himself acting through this servant of God. This book is an absolute must for anyone who wishes to better his/her spiritual life. Needless to say, I think everyone should read this book - sinners and saints alike. For sinners, as a way to escape from spiritual ruin, and for saints, as a way to reach perfection which otherwise is very difficult to reach without a deep devotion to Our Lady. This book definitely has the power to change the life of the one who reads it. As St Alphonsus de Liguori stated, "Only God knows the good that can be done on a soul by reading a good book" and this book certainly falls in this category.
This book can not be rated high enough. You learn so much about yourself by learning about how to love and become a servant to Mother Mary! It is truly a book that will change every aspect of your life, a must read for everyone!
This book lead me to my consecration to Jesus thru Mary which has brought abundant graces into my life. I have also witnessed how Mary has taken care of my family through my devotion to her. Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit and no other creature is closer to God than her. She was chosen to be the pure vessel of the birth of Jesus and because she was sinless she shares in God's glory, the way we all will if we make it to heaven. St. Louis de Montfort does a fantastic job at explaining these truths and why we should depend on her intercession as the Queen of Heaven. Jesus listens to her prayers and the Holy Spirit is united in a covenantal, One Flesh union with her.
I have come to understand how God has truly blessed our dear Lady with immense amount of grace that made Elizabeth cry out, "Hail Mary, full of grace!" For in her, the Trinity is united in a soul as no other human being can be united. She was called by the Father, His obedient daughter who said "Yes" to His will. She was one in body and blood with the Son who has become part of her and whom she borne to the world physically and spiritually. She is the spouse of the Holy Spirit who has made the incarnation of Jesus possible without human intervention. In her, the perfection of Divine Union is made manifest in man. She is to be emulated. Devotion and consecration to her make a soul reach the pinnacle of sanctity that is predestined by God.
